Bringing Older People's Accommodation to Woodley
31 August 2016
If you live in Woodley, you may have noticed that there is a great deal of activity where the former Fosters Care Home building used to stand. Demolition has now started as a state of the art new building is constructed.
The extra scheme being created will consist of 34 self-contained flats, all with a private balcony or ground floor terrace, designed to suit the needs of older people. There will also be communal facilities such as a lounge and dining room, as well as a specialist dementia facility.
Extra care housing supports people to live independently for as long as possible. It gives people the security and privacy of their own home, with additional facilities on the premises, and care and support staff available when needed.
Optalis will be the care provider for the scheme and we are very excited about the prospect of being involved with this new project.
If you have any queries about the scheme please contact Optalis Managing Director Mette le Jakobsen (mette.jakobsen@optalis.org)
