Christmas comes early across Optalis' services
15 December 2013
Many of our services began their Christmas celebrations during this week, with lunches, outings and carols performances taking place! Here are just some of the highlights...
Westmead Day Service held two days of celebration at the centre this week to celebrate Christmas with staff and customers. Pupils from All Saints School and Keep Hatch School visited to perform carols, and there were around 60 attendees across the two days!
On December 12, 2013, Earley And Woodley LD Day Service enjoyed Pantomime on Ice Show - Dick Whittington - at John Nike Leisure Centre, Bracknell. The event was great fun, and our customers had the chance to take some photos with the show's performers afterwards!
Christmas was in the air at Suffolk Lodge, when around 28 residents watched pupils from Emmbrook School perform Christmas carols for them.
Earley LD Day Service held a Christmas Sale on December 13 at the Crescent Centre. Customers worked very hard in their "Social Enterprise" session, and they decorated and wrapped chocolate boxes, sweet jars, Christmas cards, wrapping paper, notebooks, pen pots, and gift tags.
During a sewing session, some customers had made lovely scarves to sell, and there were some great decorative vases, plates and jars on sale as a result of a recent pottery class.
