13 July 2018
We are pleased to announce that the Mokattam service in Maidenhead that provides residential care and support for six adults with a learning disability has been given an overall rating of Good by the Care Quality Commission. The inspection took place on 7 June 2018 and rated the service as being Good in the Safe, Caring, Responsive and Well-led categories. There have been great improvements since the last CQC visit and these were noted by the inspector. In particular, there was positive feedback regarding the workplace culture with staff saying that management listened to them, that the service provided person-centred care and there was complimentary feedback from customers, carers and professionals. Angela Morris, Optalis Operations Director said, “This is a wonderful result which staff should be very proud about. I know that families and residents are very pleased with the service and it is lovely that the team have been recognised externally now.
