Occupational Therapy Drop In Sessions at Wokingham Library - no appointment required!
07 September 2016
A brand new service is being launched for the community to enable people to remain independent for longer.
The Optalis Occupational Therapy Team will be at Wokingham Library today for members of the public to drop in and discuss any issues relating to how to maintain an independent lifestyle.
There is no requirement to make an appointment and there will be other members of the team such as an Assistive Technology Practitioner and an Independent Broker available to provide advice and information.
Individual sessions will last for around 15-30 minute where the occupational therapist will discuss what your concerns are and either give you advice or discuss how your needs may be met.
Alice Bateman, Occupational Therapy service manager said, “We have launched this initiative to be more accessible to the community. There is no appointment needed, we will be in a central location and a range of experts will be available to answer people’s questions and offer advice.”
Please note: As the service is a drop-in service, people cannot be guaranteed to be seen on the day and may be asked to attend a different clinic.
