Optalis make Great British Care Awards final!
11 November 2013
Optalis are proud to announce the news that two of our staff members have made the finals of the Great British Care Awards! The awards celebrate excellence across the care sector and pays tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
Two members of staff who work at our Suffolk Lodge Care Home were nominated: Activities Coordinator Rebecca Craker was nominated for the ‘Care Home Activity Organiser Award’ and Catherine Isley is a finalist in the ‘Carer’s Award’ category.
Both ladies were interviewed last week, and have now made the final stage of the competition. They will learn whether they’ve won their respective categories on November 29, when a Gala dinner will be held.
Optalis’ Business Area Manager Anne Lawn, who nominated both Catherine and Rebecca, said: “I am very hopeful that they will become winners, but if not, they are already winners in my mind (and for Optalis) given their dedication, hard work and commitment to the residents at Suffolk Lodge.”
Rebecca said: “It's a real privilege to represent Optalis and show the good service we offer. To reach the finals is an indicator that we are moving in the right direction.”
