Optalis teams celebrate 10 years
29 September 2021
Colleagues and the customers we support across our services celebrated our tenth anniversary. We’ve seen several ideas, from coffee mornings, parties, tea dances, picnics and a bring and share based on different cultures in the service.
Below are some of the highlights from our celebrations.
The team from our Independent Living service in Maidenhead held an "Optalympics" Event. With people coming together from all of the ILS Maidenhead sites to celebrate at one BIG party. Each home was allocated a colour theme and challenged to decorate their table in this colour. The event was packed full of activities, with raffles, bingo, music and dancing, relay races and a medal ceremony.
It was a great event that brought old friends back together, in the September sunshine.

The group held a badge design competition and created pin badges to celebrate 10 years. Gillian's design was selected as the winner, out of many very good entries. It was selected because the design was so cheerful, happy and uplifting. They also enjoyed several games including pin the "O" on Optalis.
The Boyn Grove Community Lives Day service celebrated our ten year anniversary with a Mad Hatters tea party. Everyone enjoyed bingo, party food, quizzes and flamingo croquet! What a brilliant celebration.
