Optalis teams help Children In Need
25 November 2013
This month, staff from Optalis teams joined forces to raise money for Children In Need. Staff members raised a total of £310 for the cause, by organising fundraising activities such as "wear your onesie to work day", raffles, a "name the bear" competition, cake-selling, and a sponsored swim.
Marianne Burgisser, Senior Support Worker at Optalis' Learning Disability Service, said: "Our last fundraising event was a combined effort from the swimming group who have managed to amass a whopping 199 lengths between them! We would like to say thank you to Kate Long, Manager of the Crescent Resource Centre, for allowing us the opportunity to sell our spotty cakes through the centre's cafe to make some money for Children In Need."
