04 March 2015
The Woodley Day Service for adults with a learning disability welcomed over 70 clients, staff and members of the public to the official opening of their new base on Friday (27 February).
The Service supports clients with a variety of activities and provides valuable opportunities for involvement with the local community.
Mette Jakobsen, Optalis Director said: “Woodford Park offers a great location close to community facilities in Woodley. We’re also very lucky to be surrounded by open park land and leisure activities for our customers to enjoy – especially as the weather improves.”
Wokingham Mayor, Cllr UllaKarin Clark, was in attendance to officially open the centre, speak to staff and see the support provided for clients. She said: “I know that the Woodley Day Service will now go from strength to strength in their new premises which has plenty of space for all the ongoing and interesting activities and is well supported by the friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated staff.”
