Pinehaven Day Centre gets a facelift
13 February 2014
Pinehaven Day Centre has been spruced up in time for spring by volunteers from Easthampstead Rotary Club.
Members spent two weekends last month at Finchampstead's Pinehaven Day Service for older people, painting and decorating the walls. The 13 Rotary Club members worked with staff at Pinehaven and created a small mural as well as brightening up interior and exterior paintwork.
Rob Hughes from the club said: "We all commented on how much fun and positive team spirit was displayed during the work. It was a great example of Rotary helping the local community."
Pinehaven Day Service is aimed at helping older people with cognitive issues, including dementia, to pursue meaningful day time activities and offer respite to their carers. Attendees of the centre are delighted with the new look and feel of the centre and the more attractive environment, and our Coordinator at Pinehaven would like to express her thanks and gratitude to all who helped out.
