Suffolk Lodge rated 'good' by the Care Quality Commission

The CQC inspected the service over two days and found that the services and care we provide at Suffolk Lodge, a care home for older people with dementia, was compliant with all essential standards.
The inspection report and findings were officially published on 22 September and we are delighted that the service has received an overall rating of Good. Specifically, the CQC said Suffolk Lodge was providing well-led, safe, caring and responsive services.
The report is full of positive feedback which pays tribute to the fantastic staff at Suffolk Lodge. Once comment made, for example, was “People were treated with care and kindness, and all interactions between staff and clients were respectful and friendly.”
As well as citing many examples of good practice, the report also highlighted that an area for improvement was ensuring staff receive appropriate training. Work is already underway to ensure Optalis meets all skill and knowledge requirements.
Managing Director, Mette Le Jakobsen said, “This CQC report is testament to the hard work and dedication of the Suffolk Lodge team and is well-deserved praise from the Care regulator. Everyone at the service should feel very proud of their achievements.”
