The Berkshire Care Home's Festive Bake Off

Residents, their relatives and staff at the Berkshire Care Home enjoyed a festive Bake-Off Competition in early December. Four teams battled it out, using Mary Berry's scone recipe. Under Chef Simon's expert guidance, the teams had 30-minutes to prepare their scones. While they were baking in the oven, we spiced things up with a lively baking-themed quiz - everyone got in on the fun!

Judges faced the tough task of sampling the delicious creations. After much deliberation, Ann's Team clinched the top spot for the most fluffy scones! At Ann's request, some of the winning scones were taken away with her husband to share with her son and friend.

Everyone then indulged in the scrumptious treats with clotted cream and jam.

"We had lots of laugh and fun, it was amazing, my mum enjoyed very much" said Sue, Marge's daughter.
