We are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Optalis would like to offer our deepest condolences to The Royal Family at this time.
The Queen’s State Funeral
Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday.
On the day of the State Funeral, we want to offer as many of our colleagues as possible, the chance to commemorate Her Majesty's passing and her reign. As a result, we have made changes to the opening hours of some of our services. Many of our teams will continue to provide essential care and support to people across the Berkshire area.
Community Lives, Dementia Care Advisors and Supported Employment
These services will be closed on Monday 19 September, the day of the funeral.
The only exception to this will be where direct support is required for someone who needs it to maintain their employment.
Out and About
Out and About will be providing support in the evening only. For information contact 0118 989 9750.
Short Breaks, Extra Care, Residential Care, Short Term Rehabilitation Support, Independent Living and Supported Living
These services will remain open as usual on Monday 19 September, colleagues will be given an additional day of annual leave if they are working on the 19th September.
Community Social Work Team, Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities and Community Mental Health Team
These services will be closed on Monday 19 September, the day of the funeral.
Emergency Social Work support will be available through the Emergency Duty Service (EDS) on 01344 351 999
Corporate Support Teams
HR and Development, Commissioning, Governance and QA, Quality and Brokerage, Engagement and Communications and Finance will not be working on Monday 19 September, but emergency support will be available from our on-call team if needed.
